It was in 1941 that Joe DiMaggio turned the baseball world upside down when he batted safely in a remarkable 56 consecutive games. One of baseball's sanctified records considered virtually un-breakable, this OVERSIZED 11" x 14" Joltin Joe" batting image was most likely taken in the later 1940's at the Yankees Florida Spring Training facility. In stunning fashion, it portrays the classic batting swing the Yankee Clipper utilized to dominate the American League throughout his illustrious career. You can literally feel Joe's intensity as he dons his iconic number 5 Yankee jersey, walloping another baseball via one of the most formidable "bat speeds" ever seen on any baseball diamond.
Most significantly, this PSA Type 1 image is immense in size, with original 11" x 14" pre-1950 photos near-impossible to locate.
