Offered here is a classic 1927 Mickey Cochrane "Batting" photo taken by none other than the iconic photographer Charles M. Conlon. Measuring 6-1/2" x 8-1/2", it immediately merits serious attention from any photo enthusiast via its legendary Charles M. Conlon designation for along with Carl Horner, George Grantham Bain and Paul Thompson, baseball images struck by Conlon are highly coveted in the collecting community. Owner of two MVP awards, Cochrane's second MVP was obtained for the 1934 season as he led the Tigers to the World Series.

Cochrane still owns the highest lifetime average for a catcher (.320), and such was his popularity that he inspired Mutt Mantle to name his future son "Mickey' Mantle.
