(LOT 108)
T206 Joe Tinker "Hands on Knees" - Sweet Caporal 150 Subjects/Factory 30 (PSA NM/MT 8) - "1 of 3" PSA Listed Sweet Caps; NO Sweet Caps Graded Higher!

The prestige associated with the Chicago Cub's iconic "Tinker to Evers to Chance" double play combination will forever be embedded in baseball folklore, and unequivocal legacy that ably transcends us to early 20th century baseball. That formidable three assisted Chicago in winning 3 consecutive pennants from 1906 – 1908 along with two World Series victories over Ty Cobb's Detroit Tigers in 1907 and 1908. Therefore, it is not surprising that when the American Tobacco Company (ATC) issued there prestigious T206 tobacco card series, four separate cards/poses of the Hall of Fame shortstop Joe Tinker were included between 1909 and 1911.

With that in mind, presented here is a remarkable PSA 8 Joe Tinker "Hands on Knees" Sweet Caporal gem that joins only two other Sweet Caps as the finest of its kind! Tinker's incredible illustration portrays virtually all of its original pristine qualities including a sparkling/colorful image, fine centering, clean surfaces, sharp corners, bright white borders, and stellar print registration. Completing this century+ old marvel is a bold red Sweet Caporal 350 Subjects ad back, the final superlative to one of the T206 set's highly coveted subjects depicting an ultra-rare "best of the rest" grade!
