(LOT 48)
1910 E98 "Black Swamp" Red Dooin – Red Background (PSA NM 7) – None Graded Higher!

Another classic example from the historic 2012 Black Swamp find, this spectacular PSA 7 red background Red Dooin offering has not been bested by a single PSA encapsulated copy! Red Dooin's claim to fame may be his superior singing talent enabling him to perform with Philadelphia's Dumont Minstrels. With most people unlikely to remember this nebulous superlative, fortunately for Dooin, this E98 Black Swamp marvel will carry on his Major League legacy.

Dooin's image captures the catcher about to snare a baseball in his period style mitt, and is well projected via the bold red hued setting. Four snow white borders with only some faint wear near a few of the corner tips prevent a higher grade, and the image is positioned towards the left edge. While not a Cooperstown inductee, Dooin's representation on this Black Swamp E98 gem immediately merits it Hall of Fame cardboard status!
