(LOT 49)
1975 Topps #660 Hank Aaron (PSA Mint 9) - Only One Graded Higher!

With the Euphoria of Aaron's 715th home run now behind him, the immortal slugger would spend his final two season's with the American League Milwaukee Brewers, the city where his unfathomable career commenced a seemingly lifetime ago in 1954. His 22nd season, it would mark Aaron's 25th and final All-Star game selection (several 1950's season's included multiple all-star games), with the 41-year old sluggers hitting skills rapidly diminishing. On May 1, 1975, Aaron would eclipse another one of Ruth's hallowed records when his 2,213th career R.B.I. passed the Sultan of Swat's" previous 2,212 mark.

Celebrating Aaron's re-emergence in Milwaukee, his ultra-popular 1975 Topps card is presented here in a scarce PSA "Mint 9" holder, exceeded by only a single PSA Gem Mint 10 copy! Ironically, Topps chose #660 as his checklist number which just happened to be the final home-run tally of Aaron's greatest playing day's peer, the immortal Willie Mays who retired at the end of the 1973 season. As is the case with all of the world-class subjects in this miraculous "Hammerin' Hank" compilation, the crystal clear image is perfectly positioned between four immaculate borders, with the rich hued yellow/red frame retaining all of its original print attributes.

The ultra-sharp perimeter leads to four scintillating corner tips, with a diminutive printer mark near the lower left edge arguably the only defect preventing this card from achieving cardboard perfection. Yet, with only a single specimen besting this Aaron gem, we highly expect a fierce battle for its new ownership!
