Joe Namath is the first quarterback in history to lead his college football team, Alabama, to a national championship and then his professional football team, the New York Jets, to a Super Bowl title. The 1965 AFL Rookie of the Year led the Jets to an AFL championship in 1968 and then guaranteed New York's Super Bowl III win over the heavily favored Baltimore Colts. Presented is a borderless original 8" x 10" close-up photo of Namath under-center that is still in amazing condition with light display wear and touches at the edging and corners. The PSA-encapsulated image is crisp and clear, hosting only a stamp and Mitchell Reibel address sticker affixed to the back. Along with Staubach, Bradshaw, Manning, Tarkenton and Griese, Namath was one of the great quarterbacks of the 1970s.
