Giants first sacker Fred Merkle will forever be famous for his "Merkle Boner" baserunning gaffe in a September 1908 game against the Cubbies that ultimately cost New York the NL pennant. One of Merkle's scarcest cards is his 1911-14 Brunners Butter Krust subject, presented here in a super eye-pleasing PSA 1.5 holder, one of only 15 PSA examples in any grade.
