RICKEY ROOKIE!!!... While Hall of Famer Branch Rickey only played in a single game in his 1905 rookie campaign, the Sporting Life Publishing Co. still decided to include the 24-year-old backstop on their prestigious 1906 W601 St. Louis Browns postcard, presented here in an eye-pleasing PSA 2 holder. One of only four PSA-graded examples, it also includes the classic Carl Horner portrait pose of HOF shortstop Bobby Wallace. Rickey's true inaugural card, it was issued some 41 years before the future Brooklyn Dodgers GM would sign Jackie Robinson and break the MLB color barrier!
