1907-09 H.M. Taylor Detroit Tigers Team Postcard with a Rookie Ty Cobb PSA 4.5 VG-EX+

ROOKIE COBB!!!... This PSA 4.5 VG-EX+ 1907-09 H.M. Taylor Detroit Tigers team postcard resides as one of only two examples at this scarce mid-grade plateau, with a mere three specimens graded higher! Most significantly, it boasts a rookie-era Ty Cobb, seated in the second row, third from the left. From 1907 through 1909, Detroit captured three consecutive AL pennants, led by the incomparable Georgia Peach. Distributed by H.M. Taylor for three seasons, its most cortical aspect is the inclusion of a rookie-era Cobb who had broken into the big leagues with the Detroit club in 1905. Tyrus claimed his inaugural batting championship in 1907 and never looked back, winning an unfathomable 12 batting titles in 13 seasons. The unmarked postcard portrays spectacular contrast and clarity, eluding any obtrusive flaws over the past 117 years. The final compliments are Hughie Jennings seated in the front center, with "Wahoo Sam" Crawford standing in the back row, third from the left.
