(LOT 1942)
Grateful Dead 25th Anniversary Signed Without A Net European Tour Program Including Garcia, Hart & Lesh PSA/DNA

The Grateful Dead was still fronted by lead guitarist and vocalist Jerry Garcia when they embarked on their 1990 world tour in support of their 22nd and final LP, Without a Net. Without a Net was the Dead's first digitally mastered live concert album. Though they had released previous live LPs, none lived up to the standard the band had hoped for, and audience recordings often overshadowed the band's published works. And while the Dead had suffered through member changes to death on multiple occasions, Without a Net was released just prior to the passing of keyboardist Brent Mydland, to which the band offered a dedication to Clifford Hanger in reference to Mydland's absence. Offered here is a band-signed 1990 Without a Net Concert Program from the European leg of the Grateful Dead's tour. Signed in silver paint pen, the black covered program features Jerry Garcia, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart and Phil Lesh, as well as Vince Welnick, Brent Mydland's replacement for the tour. All of the signatures display "7-9" strength against the jet black background. This would be the final tour book from the Grateful Dead touring shows as Jerry Garcia died in 1995, ending a 30-year run of the hippie-popular jam band.
