1912 Detroit Tigers vs. St. Louis Browns Scorecard - Browns No Hitter with No Strikeouts!

NO-HITS/NO-Ks!!! On August 30th, 1912, St. Louis Browns' pitcher Earl Hamilton exacted revenge on the Detroit Tigers, who no-hit the Browns in their previous meeting some 57 days earlier. However, Hamilton's no-no had a unique distinction as the Browns' left-hander failed to strike out a single Tiger in his nine-inning complete game victory. Hamilton faced Tigers hurler Jean Dubuc who entered the game with a 16-8 record. Cool weather and the fifth-place Tigers hosting the last-place Browns kept fans away as they played in front of only 2,150 fans as opposed to the newly redesigned Navin Field that held 23,000. The Browns attacked Dubuc, scoring four runs by the fourth inning and never let up as they beat Detroit 7-1. The only Tigers score came as an aggressive Ty Cobb walked, and then reached third on an error. He then took home as Jimmy Austin threw to second to keep Sam Crawford in check. Offered is a "Detroit Base Ball Club Official Score Card" scored neatly in pencil and dated "8/30/12" on the Detroit team page. Center vertical bend from being held at the game. Light wear and discoloration, but fully intact, and including the original mailer from collector Goodwin Goldfaden.
