c.1951 Pee Wee Reese PSA Type 1 Encapsulated Barney Stein Photo – Image Used for Reese's 1953 Topps #76 Subject – Measures Approx. 8" x 10"

REESE 1953 TOPPS IMAGE!!! Pee Wee Reese was the heart and soul of that Dodger machine. Reese earned the Captain nod via his unparalleled leadership qualities that led Brooklyn to seven pennants and their inaugural 1955 championship, receiving the iconic "Pee Wee" nickname by being a superior young marbles player. He was the premier shortstop of his day, and this circa 1951 PSA Type 1 photo represents the exact image used for his iconic 1953 Topps #76 subject. Brilliant aesthetics include a crystal-clear portrait pose, excellent resolution, fine centering and the absence of any glaring surface blemishes. The final exclamation point is the verso's BROOKLYN NATIONAL LEAGUE CLUB/BARNEY STEIN credit stamp, with this extremely scarce heirloom destined to find a final resting place in any pinnacle photo compilation!
