(LOT 784)
T206 BroadLeaf 350 Joe Kelley (PSA 1) - One of Only 2 Examples (both Poor/1's) listed on the COMBINED PSA & SGC "Pop" Charts!

Any T206 Broad Leaf 350 subject is highly coveted in the collecting community, let alone one that represents a Cooperstown inductee such as this PSA 1 Joe Kelley rarity. It currently stands as one of only 2 examples listed on the COMBINED PSA and SGC census reports, with both specimens reflecting "Poor/1" technical assessments. Hall of Fame outfielder Joe Kelley was one of the most intimidating hitters of his day, and he once went 9-for-9 in a doubleheader! A lifetime .317 hitter, Kelley compiled nearly 1,200 runs batted in, and was also considered a shrewd base runner, stealing 87 bases in 1896.

One of the more nebulous Hall of Famers from the turn of the century, he is not represented on a host of cards, justifying why his few existing T206 BroadLeaf rarities are highly-coveted by T206 enthusiasts. As is the case with so many low-grade scarcities, the hobbyist looks beyond the compromised condition which in this case are the rounded corners and various obverse side creases including a formidable spider crease in the upper left quadrant. More significant is the much cleaner Broad Leaf 350 Subjects verso and the simple "right to own a copy" of this nearly impossible to find T206 Kelley/Broad Leaf 350 player/ad-back combo!
