(LOT 1765)
Group of (4) Hall of Famer Signed Letters with Two Signed by Yankee Owner Jacob Ruppert and Two Signed by Yankee GM George Weiss PSA/DNA LOA

This stunning collection features a set of typed, signed letters from Baseball Hall of Famers Jacob Ruppert and George Weiss. Ruppert expresses his gratitude to the Chamber of Commerce for their warm congratulations following the New York Yankees' 1932 World Series victory. He also requests a reduction in the Yankees' 1932 Spring Training guarantee, highlighting the financial pressures of the time, even for a championship team. In addition to Ruppert's remarkable correspondence, Weiss contributes two letters of similar sentiment, thanking Bill Davenport, manager of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, for his congratulations on the Yankees' 1951 World Series win and their American League pennant victory in 1960. These four exceptional letters are presented on historical letterhead and each includes its own Letter of Authenticity from PSA, making this a truly remarkable assembly for any collector.
