1927!!! Al "Doc" Woods was a trainer with the infamous '27 New York Yankees Murderers' Row team. The September 30, 1927 AL Base Ball Club payroll check for $175.00 is payable to A. A. Woods who endorsed the back. Franchise President Jacob Ruppert has also signed the check on the front as well as Ed Barrow, general manager.
