1980-81 Topps Basketball Vending Hoard of Over 900 Cards
This 1980-81 Topps Basketball collection presents a very rare and noteworthy opportunity. Although not in the original Topps vending boxes, you can still see the factory "vending pattern" when viewed in their white storage boxes. Although the cards are currently unsorted, as they were from Topps, we can guess that there are enough cards to build four or five sets. Collectors' attention immediately goes to the Larry Bird/Magic Johnson rookie cards, of which there are seven. Those cards have been pulled out and graded by SGC. The grades are as follows: two SGC 7, two SGC 6.5 and three SGC 6. However, it is our opinion that several of these cards possess the aesthetics that are typically seen on cards graded a little higher. Hoards like these are rarely available to the public. This should rightfully capture the attention of both the ardent basketball collector and investors alike. Current estimated value of over $5,200.
