1980 Topps Basketball Complete Set with Graded Bird/Erving/Johnson
The format of the 176-card 1980 Topps Basketball set featuring three players/subjects per 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" card with perforation separating each remains uniquely its own as Topps never again replicated the design for basketball again. However, this one-of-a-kind hoops release did include one of the most significant basketball issues ever circulated with Hall of Famer Julius Erving, and rookie HOFers Larry Bird and Magic Johnson on the same Scoring Leader edition. This is the consensus rookie card of both Bird and Magic. Presented here is a complete 1980 Topps Basketball set which includes a Scoring Leaders – Bird/Erving/Johnson issue in a BVG 7 NM holder. Overall, the set appears very nice, pack-fresh and what we consider very high grade. Current estimated value of only the graded card is over $750.
