1958 Los Angeles Dodgers Inaugural Year Lighter
This lighter represents the first year the Dodgers stepped foot in Los Angeles. On April 18, 1958, 66 years ago, Major League Baseball changed forever. It was on that date that the Los Angeles Dodgers made their debut in their new home city, 2,796 miles from Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, where they had been playing since 1884. To honor the Dodgers first year in LA, a lighter was crafted and features the Dodgers' home game schedule on the reverse, including indicators for night games and double headers. This is a rare opportunity to grab a piece of baseball history. 1959 lighters are common, but we've never seen one from 1958. Note, the lighter is not in working order.
