1910 T206 Tris Speaker American Beauty with Frame 350/25 SGC 4 VG-EX – POP 2; Highest Graded SGC Example!
SCARCE T206 SPEAKER!!!... One of the more obscure T206 ad-backs is the elusive American Beauty with Frame 350/25 advertisement, with this scarce ad-back affixed to this SGC 4 VG-EX Tris Speaker marvel. One of only two SGC 4 examples, it proudly stands as the finest SGC specimen, with PSA's Pop Chart only listing a single PSA 6 copy graded higher! Tough to find in any grade, the combined SGC and PSA census reports only list 14 total examples, with this eclectic Speaker issued in the 1910 campaign when the Gray Eagle would post an outstanding .340 batting average. Highlights include an extremely bold blue setting that literally brings Speaker's crystal-clear batting image to life. Accounting for the assessment are evenly worn corners, some soiling situated near the upper left edge, and general surface wear. The thin borders are a standard trademark of any American Beauty subject, and the final compliment is the bold green American Beauty verso!
