Babe Ruth & Ty Cobb Signed 1946 All-American Boys Program Pages PSA/DNA LOAs
THE BABE & TYRUS!!!... Presented here are two extremely scarce All-American Boys Program pages, one signed by Babe Ruth and the other by Ty Cobb, both penned in bold blue ink. Other notable signatures include Carl Hubbell (on the Ruth page) and Chuck Dressen (on the Cobb page). On August 28, 1946 at the Polo Grounds, Ruth and Cobb served as managers for the second annual Esquire sponsored All-American Boys Game, with Ruth managing the East squad and Cobb managing the West. Ruth's squad would win 5-4, with Curt Simmons voted the game's MVP. Simmons would never forget his experience meeting and playing for the Babe, vividly recalling that Ruth called everyone "kid."

It was the pre-game practice on August 27th that all the players and coaches best remembered. Carl Hubbell was pitching batting practice, and one kid simply could not hit the baseball. Ruth grabbed the child's bat and told King Carl to throw him a few pitches, shouting, "Let me show them how to hit!" Donning a sweatsuit, Ruth blasted six balls into the stands, putting on a grand exhibition that everyone in attendance would never forget. The signed Ruth/Cobb program pages are a testament to this classic event, conjuring up captivating memories of how these long-retired baseball icons still adored their young fan base!
