1961 Topps #443 Duke Snider PSA 10 GEM MINT
DUKE OF FLATBUSH!!!... Coming off his sixth World Series and second victory in the Fall Classic in 1959, Duke Snider batted .243 with 14 home runs and 36 RBIs for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now playing in his hometown, but in the twilight of his career, The Duke was relegated to come off the bench in 1960 and from then on, the 33-year-old "took one for the team", allowing the new generation of players to step up. Concluding his career only four years later in 1964 with the New York Mets, Duke Snider retired with a .295 average, 2,116 hits including 407 homers and 1,333 RBIs.
Offered here is a 1961 Topps #443 Snider graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA. This is one of only five issues to achieve PSA's highest honor and it is abundantly clear why. Snider is perfectly framed within four spot-on white borders that terminate at four razor edges and four pinpoint corners. The full-color photo is bright and bold, and the surfaces are clean and free of flaws. Upgrade your '61 Tops set with this Duke of Flatbush!
