1915 Cracker Jack #103 Joe Jackson PSA Authentic
PERFECTEST SWING!!!... Prior to his involvement in the 1919 Black Sox Scandal that rocked the baseball world, Shoeless Joe Jackson was one of the best hitters in the game and a fan favorite among children and adults. Ty Cobb, arguably THE greatest hitter in baseball history, stated that Joe Jackson was "a better ball player his first year in the big league than anyone else ever was." And Ruth, the greatest player, "copied my swing after Joe Jackson's" as it was the "perfectest swing." Pretty amazing tributes from two of the greatest in history. But Jackson was among them and retired with a lifetime .356 batting average, third all-time, and led the American League twice in hits, three times in triples and once in doubles. He also posted a .962 lifetime fielding percentage with 183 outfield assists. Offered here is a 1915 Crack Jack #103 Joe Jackson issue deemed Authentic by PSA. Though not considered at the minimum size according to PSA, this boasts far superior aesthetics due to its sheer beauty, overall pack-fresh attributes, and classic batting pose likewise seen on Shoeless Joe's renowned 1916 M101 issues.
