1914 Cracker Jack #7 Eddie Collins PSA 2 GOOD
COCKY CRACKER JACK!!! Offered here is a fine PSA 2 GOOD 1914 Cracker Jack of the immortal Hall of Famer Eddie Collins. Nicknamed "Cocky", Collins is regarded as one of the greatest second basemen in baseball history. A member of the illustrious 3,000-hit club, Collins not only compiled a spectacular .333 lifetime batting average but was also considered the premier fielding second sacker of his era. A crystal-clear portrait pose reveals Collins showcasing his Athletics striped cap and uniform. Affixed to a bold red background, the image has eluded typical unsightly caramel corn stains, with only a few faint stains scattered on either side. Accounting for the assessment is a diagonal crease in the upper right quadrant, even corner wear, and minor wrinkles situated at three corners. The relatively well-centered illustration does show some partiality towards the left edge between four tined borders, with this Collins offering one of his most cherished candy-card treats!
