SHOHEI!!! At 24, Shohei Ohtani was the reigning AL Rookie of the Year after batting .285 with 22 home runs and 61 RBIs in 2013. He hit more home runs than Albert Pujols in fewer games. But, unlike any other player in history, other than Babe Ruth, Shohei was a double-threat, as he pitched to a 4-2 record with a 3.31 ERA and 63 Ks in ten starts. What was still to come? Since joining the big leagues in 2018, Ohtani has also won the AL MVP twice (2021 & '23), led the AL in home runs in 2023 and posted a 38-19 record with a 3.01 ERA from the mound.
