HALL OF FAME ROOKIE!!! Direct from Venezuela, Luis Aparicio signed with the Chicago White Sox in 1954 and was assigned to the Waterloo White Hawks of the Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League. Talk about shell shock! Little Louie debuted for the Sox in 1956 and proceeded to lead the AL in stolen bases and sacrifices while batting .266 with 56 RBIs to win the 1956 AL Rookie of the Year Award. Presented here is a 1956 Topps #292 Luis Aparicio rookie card graded 9 MINT by PSA. This one is a beauty showing a jovial Luis portrait image and an in-action shot of him snaring a high liner.
