(LOT 1665)
1933 R128 Western Series of 48 Complete #3 Ranked PSA Registered Set!

The 1933 R128-1 Western Series cards were originally cut from strips featuring individual subjects or scenes of the American West. Offered here is the 1933 Western R128-1 Complete Set ranked #3 on the Current PSA Set Registry with a 4.78 GPA. This 90-year-old Western-themed non-sports set numbers from 1-48 and consists of one PSA 9 OC, four PSA 8 OCs, four PSA 7s, four PSA 7 OCs, 17 PSA 6s, one PSA 5.5, two PSA 5s, five PSA 4s, one PSA 3 and 10 encased PSA Authentic Altered. Nineteen of these issues are POP 1 with 14 additional at a POP 2. Five of these amazing examples are the highest graded copies in the hobby and eight more have only a single superior.

Highlights include #s: 8 Stage Coach (PSA 7), 9 Custer's Last Stand (PSA 7), 17 Buffalo Bill (PSA 6), 25 Tecumseh (PSA 6), 26 Pontiac (PSA 6), 10 Davy Crockett (PSA 4), 20 Davy Crockett (PSA Auth. Altered) and 48 Sitting Bull (PSA Auth. Altered). Three extra cards are included with this set. PSA's Set Registry has the Auth. Altered cards listed as PSA 1s. They were graded Auth. Altered because they were cut from the same strips. Card #11 is 7 OC, #35 is 4.5 & #7 is Authentic. Upon further evaluation, they are hand-cut slightly under-sized where the panels were cut, thereby cutting the perforation.
