1970 New York Yankees Tri-Fold #8 Mickey Mantle PSA 2 GOOD – POP 2; Highest PSA Graded Example!
SCARCE MANTLE!!! One of the rarest known Mickey Mantle issues is his 1970 New York Yankees oversized Tri-Fold issue measuring 8-1/2" x 11". Extremely scarce, PSA has only encapsulated two Mickey Mantle #8 subjects, with both of these residing in PSA 2 holders. Presented here just happens to be one of those two graded Commerce Comet keepsakes, with this super obscure offering revealing The Mick in a classic batting stance as well as portraying an extremely bold "My Best Wishes – Mickey Mantle" facsimile salutation. Accounting for the assessment are the typical two horizontal mailing folds, and the rather large lower border includes a detailed bio for the Hall of Fame slugger whose mammoth tape-measure homers tested the confines of any ballpark. A near-impossible-to-find Mantle keepsake, its scarce existence earns this 53-year-old marvel the right to a permanent home in any advanced Oklahoma Kid collection!
