Mickey Mantle spent two seasons in the minors (1949-50), and had a short stint with the Kansas City Blues during his rookie season. But, after that eye-opening period of seasoning in KC, Mantle returned to the New York Yankees lineup and never looked back. Mickey Mantle played 18 seasons for the Yankees, won three AL MVP awards, a Triple Crown in 1956, 20 All-Star nods, seven World Series and put together one of the greatest Hall of Fame resumes in baseball history. Offered is a 1951 Bowman #253 Mickey Mantle Rookie graded 4 (MK) VG-EX by PSA. This beautiful mid-grade example remains vibrant and bold with a clear image of the Commerce Comet with his bat over his shoulder.
