(LOT 788)
1911 T206 Kid Elberfeld "Washington Fielding" Broad Leaf 460 SGC 1 PR – One of Only Three SGC Graded Examples!

T206 BROAD LEAF 460!!! This super rare SGC 1 PR 1911 T206 Kid Elberfeld "Washington Fielding" Broad Leaf 460 just happens to be one of only three examples listed on SGC's census report, with PSA likewise only revealing three specimens on their Pop Chart. Tobacco enthusiasts are well aware that T206 Broad Leaf 460 subjects are near-impossible-to-find, as substantiated by the prestigious T206 Resource website listing a Broad Leaf 460 subject as the fourth rarest T206 ad back behind the illustrious Ty Cobb with a Ty Cobb back, Brown Old Mill and Brown Lenox. This offering's image has retained a majority of its original brilliant blue, green and gray hues, with Elberfeld's well-centered pose downgraded to a 1 due to a horizontal crease running completely across the card through Elberfeld's black cap as well as even corner wear. Most significantly, save for the aforementioned crease, the verso's brown-hued "BROAD LEAF 460 SUBJECTS" advertisement has eluded any notable blemishes. The slick-fielding Elberfeld played a formidable 14 years in the Major Leagues, with this "Washington Fielding" Broad Leaf 460 tobacco treat proudly residing as one of his most sought-after cardboard scarcities!
