1933 Goudey #230 Carl Hubbell PSA 8 NM-MT - Only 2 PSA Examples Graded Higher!

KING CARL!!! This outstanding 1933 Goudey #230 Carl Hubbell offering has been bested by only two PSA specimens! Synonymous to this amazing keepsake is the stature of Hubbell's most incredible accomplishment, when in the 1934 All-Star game King Carl fanned Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin in succession. Arguably the greatest screwball pitcher in baseball history, the crafty southpaw won 253 games, including five consecutive seasons of 20+ wins, and his 24 consecutive wins from July 18, 1936 – May 27, 1937 is a still-standing record. Likewise, this grand memento boasts record-setting aesthetics via its extremely colorful central image portraying Hubbell releasing one of his unhittable pitches. Pinpoint corners, eye-pleasing centering, and clean surfaces are the final compliments for this time-defying gem that has retained the majority of its original pack-fresh attributes!
