1933 Goudey #181 Babe Ruth PSA 1 PR
SUPERB EYE APPEAL!!! This PSA 1 PR 1933 Goudey #181 Babe Ruth offering exhibits eye appeal far beyond the technical assessment. Indeed, the obverse side clearly emanates aesthetics consistent with most Good or VG examples, with the grade solely due to paper loss situated on the verso. The #181 Goudey Ruth reveals a unique pose not offered on the other three Ruth Goudey subjects (the #53, #144 & #149 Ruths depict a similar batting pose). In fact, this #181 image, to the best of our knowledge, is unique to the card industry and not utilized on a single other Babe Ruth cardboard issue. The half-body Ruth image reveals fine resolution and bright hues while eluding any obtrusive surface flaws. While the corners portray significant wear and the flipside depicts the aforementioned paper loss, the critical Sultan of Swat image is completely intact and worthy of a secure place in any serious vintage collection!
