1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinets #36 Tris Speaker Checklist Back PSA 5 EX - Only 2 PSA Examples Graded Higher!

THE GRAY EAGLE!!! By 1911, Tris Speaker had joined Ty Cobb and Shoeless Joe as one of the three best hitters in the Junior Circuit, justified by his .334 batting average, marking the third consecutive year he topped the illustrious .300 mark. That same season, his exalted T3 Turkey Red Cabinet would be released, with this breathtaking PSA 5 masterpiece only bested by a paltry two PSA examples! Somewhat underrated, the Gray Eagle's 22-year career with Boston, Cleveland, and Philadelphia netted 3,514 hits, including 792 doubles and 222 triples to the tune of an unfathomable .345 lifetime batting average. Coincidentally, the tobacco manufacturers chose a classic Speaker batting stance for his #36 T3 subject, with the red hues on his striped cap, Boston uniform, and period-style socks prompting the T3 Speaker to be one of the most captivating of all Turkey Red subjects. Some negligible white streaks between Speaker's legs, light corner wear, and an extremely faint wrinkle situated at the upper right corner account for the grade. One of the premier Speaker T3s, it conjures up vivid memories of his diamond dominance, unequivocally placing him as one of our National Pastimes greatest all-time center fielders!
