1958 Topps #30 Hank Aaron Yellow Name PSA 8 NM-MT
GREEN MVP HANK!!! In only his fourth Major League season at the age of 23, Hank Aaron captured the National League MVP award as he led the Milwaukee Braves to the 1957 World Series title. He led the NL in homers (44), RBIs (132), and runs (118) to earn his third of 25 All-Star votes. The offered 1958 Topps Yellow Name Aaron #30 subject from that season is a rarity to be sure, considering that more than 4,400 White Name issues have been encapsulated as opposed to the meager 884 (at the time of this writing) non-qualifier Yellow Name examples. Fewer than 1/4 the number as its counterpart White Letter variation. The presented 8 NM-MT card has only a single superior. Based on the superb centering, eye-catching and deep rich colors, and knife sharp edging and corners, we can see why and would offer, why is this not graded higher? Label-marked by PSA as part of the Hammerin' Hank Collection, this 8 NM-MT example deserves a second look and perhaps one by graders as it is pristine.
