(LOT 1682)
Bernie Allen Game-Used Bat (1965-1969) Twins/Senators Era PSA GU 8

Bernie Allen debuted in 1962. After taking Billy Martin's spot, he went 1 for 4, and his rookie performance led him to join the 1962 Topps All-Star Rookie Roster and finished 3rd in the AL Rookie voting. Playing for the Twins, Senators, Yankees and Expos, he also played college baseball and football for the Purdue Boilermakers, where he was twice named Team MVP for baseball and was chosen as Sports Illustrated Offensive Back of the Week in 1960. This bat was used by Allen between 1965 and 1969. It's a Hillerich & Bradsby U1 Model bat measuring 35 inches, weighing 33.9 ounces with no finish, and made out of ash wood. A great bat from this veteran who played 11 years in MLB. LOA from PSA grading this game used bat a PSA GU 8.
