PERFECT UNITAS!!! At the spry age of 37, Johnny Unitas led the Baltimore Colts to the NFL championship game, now dubbed the Super Bowl, winning Super Bowl V over the Roger Staubach-led Dallas Cowboys. This would be Unitas' first and only Super Bowl title, but his fourth NFL championship, having won previously in 1958, '59 and 1968. The three-time MVP and 10-time Pro Bowler was honored with the NFL Man of the Year award, now the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. He finished 10th in passing yards and 13th in passing TDs in 1970, but took home the ultimate reward of the newly renamed Vince Lombardi Trophy following the legendary coach's recent untimely passing.
