MVP UNITAS!!! If quarterbacks in the NFL could win the Triple Crown, we have to assume that Baltimore Colts QB Johnny Unitas would have won the award on multiple occasions. In 1959, Unitas led the NFL in passing attempts and completions, passing yards and TDs, and posted a spectacular NFL mark of 241.6 yards per game. At the end of the season, after leading the Colts to a 9-3-0 record, Johnny U waged an assault on the New York Giants in the NFL championship game, throwing for 264 yards and two TDs to grab the title with a 31-16 score. Offered here is a 1960 Topps #1 Johnny Unitas PSA 8 NM-MT. This #1 card of the famed Colts gunslinger remains in NM-MT condition according to PSA with great color, razor-sharp corners and edges and clean clear surfaces. The slightest hint of OC favoring the right border likely attests to PSA not grading this higher. The back is bright and bold.
