Indeed, of the roughly 800 PSA encapsulated copies, not a single one has managed to achieve the perfect 10 assessment. The major highlight is the near-perfect centering for Ashburn's classic bat-over-shoulder pose, virtually positioned in a 50/50 manner between four blinding white borders. Immaculate surfaces, precise clarity, pinpoint corner tips, and sparkling colors all justify the grade. Hall of Famer Richie Ashburn was truly one of baseball's greatest center fielders, unfortunately overshadowed by Mays, Mantle and Snider throughout the 1950s.
