(LOT 274)
1975 Topps #660 Hank Aaron PSA 9 MINT - Only One PSA Example Graded Higher!

HAMMERIN' HANK PSA 9!!! With the euphoria of Aaron's 715th home run now behind him, the immortal slugger would spend his final two seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, the city where his unfathomable career commenced a seemingly lifetime ago in 1954. His 22nd campaign would mark Aaron's 25th and final All-Star game selection, with the 41-year-old slugger's hitting skills rapidly diminishing. On May 1, 1975, Aaron would eclipse another one of Ruth's hallowed records when his 2,213th career RBI passed the Sultan of Swat's previous 2,212 mark. Celebrating Aaron's re-emergence in Milwaukee, his ultra-popular 1975 Topps card is presented here in a super scarce PSA 9 MINT holder, exceeded by only a single PSA 10! The final card of the set, synonymous with Aaron's miraculous feats, is this offering's breathtaking aesthetics. The crystal-clear portrait illustration reveals excellent centering, which only slightly favores the right edge, and the richly hued yellow and red borders and remaining surfaces are immaculate. The ultra-sharp perimeter leads to four scintillating corner tips, the final exclamation point for a pack-fresh masterpiece that has only been bested by a single PSA example!
