(LOT 144)
1948 Leaf #4 Stan Musial Rookie PSA 7 NM

STAN THE MAN ROOKIE!!! Due to poor factory printing standards, a myriad of 1948 Leaf subjects portray inferior registration, off-centered images, black print lines, and general surface blemishes, resulting in unsightly eye appeal. That said, it's no wonder that this PSA 7 NM Stan Musial rookie card resides as the perfect testament to Stan the Man's remarkable batting skills. The card's pack-fresh technical attributes are synonymous with Musial's legendary playing career, which includes a .331 lifetime average, 3,630 hits, 475 home runs, nearly 2,000 RBIs, seven batting titles, three MVPs and an amazing 24 All-Star game appearances! His classic batting pose reveals atypical superior resolution as Musial completes his classic left-handed swing that led to so many scalding line-drive safeties. A bold blue background, right-angled corners consistent with the grade, and relatively clean surfaces all contribute to the hallowed 7 assessment, with the only notable flaw being an image that somewhat favors the lower left edges. A typical trait of most '48 Leaf cards is that they are seriously plagued with skewed images. Yet, the lack of any glaring surface flaws more than offset the image's positioning, with this pack-fresh rookie sensation destined for any esteemed collection!
