BABE THE MOVIE STAR!!! One of the more obscure 1920s cardboard issues is the 1929 Exhibit Supply Star Picture Stamps postcard featuring Babe Ruth as one of the card's eight Hollywood personalities. The great Bambino is the highlight of this PSA 3.5 scarcity that also includes the following movie stars: Tom Mix, Charles Lindbergh, Charlie Chaplin, Jack Dempsey, Harold Lloyd, Douglas Fairbanks, and Al Jolson. It's no secret that Babe starred in several motion pictures in the 1920s including "Headin' Home" (1920) and "The Babe Comes Home" (1927), and his image depicts Ruth wearing his Babe Comes Home uniform. Heavyweight boxing champion Jack Dempsey and immortal aviator Charles Lindbergh also made their film debuts in the 1920s, likewise leading to their appearance on this seldom-surfacing memento. Each legend is presented in stamp format, and this offering includes the scarcer ad back, with even corner wear accounting for the grade.
