1920 W519 Numbered #20 Babe Ruth Type 2 Hand Cut PSA Authentic – One of Only 5 total PSA Examples!
EXTREMELY RARE 1920 RUTH!!! Presented here is one of the Bambino's few inaugural Yankee cards, a super rare PSA Authentic 1920 W519 Numbered #20 Type 2 scarcity residing as one of only five PSA encapsulated copies. Of those five Ruths, four reside in Authentic holders, a typical occurrence since most manual cuts impeded the strip's original lines. The 1920 W519 Type 2 subjects are considered among the scarcest of all "W" strip cards, with the small 10-subject checklist half the size of their Type 1 brethren. The Babe actually shares the #20 checklist spot with Wally Schang, with Ruth's hallowed portrait image later used for his 1921 Schapira and 1923 Maple Crispette issues. Another notable difference with regard to this Type 2 Ruth versus its Type 1 peer is the blue and pink-hued background encompassing his hallowed pose, with this extreme rarity destined to fill an on-going void within a serious Ruth collection!
