One of Babe Ruth's few documented 1920 Yankee cards, along with his Headin' Home and Felix Mendelsohn issues, is this PSA Authentic 1920 W519 Numbered #5 Sultan of Swat Type 1 marvel. A whopping 18 of the 21 total PSA encapsulated examples (86%) reflect an Authentic grade, a testament for this issue's condition sensitivity resulting from skewed manual cuts encroaching on the original strip's lines. The exact image used for the Babe's 1921 Schapira and 1923 Maple Crispette issues, this strip was distributed during the Bambino's inaugural Yankees campaign that saw the Babe clout his unprecedented 54 round-trippers. An eye-pleasing example, its plum purple background and good-natured Ruth image present super well, with the notable blemishes being an irregular left edge trim and some scattered soiling along the upper and lower edges.
