T206 Eddie Collins Sweet Caporal 350 Subjects/Factory 30 – PSA 7 NM - Only 2 Sweet Caporals Graded Higher!
T206 COLLINS GEM!!!... Another one of Carl Horner's classic portrait images strikes again via this absolutely brilliant looking T206 Eddie Collins PSA 7 Near Mint marvel sporting a Sweet Caporal 350 Subjects/Factory 30 verso. Electrifying in every sense of the word, this card has withstood the test of time, currently listed on the PSA Pop Chart as one of only seven Sweet Caporal examples at the hallowed "7" assessment with a meager two Sweet Caporal specimens graded higher! Renowned Hall of Famer Eddie Collins (along with Lajoie and Hornsby), is considered one of the greatest second sackers of all time.
A member of the elusive 3,000-hit club and author of a .333 lifetime batting average, Collins played an incredible 25 years with the Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago White Sox, and this world-class T206 Collins keepsake is the perfect testament for his prestigious legacy. Unquestionably, this rarely seen cardboard gem merits the highest hobby accolades starting with the iconic Carl Horner portrait pose that emanates a brilliant blend of facial hues and a near flawless crimson hued background. The fine centering only reveals a trace of favoritism towards the upper left edges, with the bright white borders retaining a majority of their original snow-white aura. The perimeter edging is blistering sharp and includes four somewhat right-angled corners that are consistent with the grade. No notable surface flaws are evident on either side, with the critical SWEET CAPORAL 350 SUBJECTS/Factory 30 captions as bold as their original issue date some 114 years ago!
