1909-11 T206 Bob Bescher Hands in Air Black Lenox – PSA 5 EX – "POP 1" Black Lenox and the Highest Graded Black Lenox Example!
BLACK LENOX RARITY!!!... Presented here is a unique for the grade PSA 5 EX T206 Bob Bescher "Hands in the Air" Black Lenox marvel that resides as the SOLE and HIGHEST GRADED example on the prestigious PSA population report! Extremely rare in any grade, PSA only lists four Bob Bescher "Hands in Air" examples, with this museum worthy PSA 5 offering's closest competitor being an inferior PSA 3 specimen. The scarcity of any Black Lenox T206 is no secret to any serious T206 enthusiast, with the esteemed T206 Resource website listing Black Lenox as the 8th scarcest cigarette advertisement of the 39 possible listed ad backs. Leftfielder Bob Bescher played 11 MLB seasons, six of which were spent in the Queen City before moving on to the Giants and Cardinals.
His pinnacle T206 offering portrays the by-gone outfielder in his blue flannel Cincinnati Reds uniform, hands outstretched, with the southpaw's period style glove affixed on his right hand. No obtrusive surface flaws are evident, with the grade primarily attributed to even corner wear, some etching/soiling along the right border, and an image that favors the upper right edges. Most significantly, the critical BLACK LENOX verso (Factory 30) is clean, showing no ill effects from 114 years of potential wear. The undisputed best of the rest Black Lenox Bescher, it has no peers, irrefutably resigning supreme as the finest of its kind!
