RARE MATTY!!! The rare portrait card of Giants pitcher Christy Mathewson is hand-cut from Post Cereal boxes in 1930. The back proclaims Matty as the "Greatest of all baseball pitchers". This astounding hand-cut card is a POP 1 with only one example graded higher. Despite being released five years after Big Six's passing, Post Cereal chose to include him as the ONLY baseball player in the set "Famous North Americans" that featured prominent U.S. Presidents and noteworthy American legends and heroes. This PSA 6.5 is one of only five hand-cut cards in existence and stands only a half grade behind the highest graded PSA 7. With only six 1930 Post Cereal hand-cut Mathewsons ever graded, this is one for an elite collection.
