1936 Detroit Tigers Full Ticket (May 20, 1936 - Joe DiMaggio Hits Second Home Run of Career) - PSA-Encapsulated Authentic

JOE D GOES DEEP!!! Joe DiMaggio owns one of the greatest statistics in baseball, a sport drowning in stats. As one of the greatest players to ever suit up for the New York Yankees, or even step on a ball field, DiMaggio produced a Hall of Fame worthy career, winning three American League MVP awards, earning 13 All-Star nods and leading the Bronx bombers to nine World Series championships. And, Joltin' Joe served three years in the Army during the prime of his career. But with all of his accolades and awards earned, one of the most incredible statistics on Joe D's resume is the fact that he clouted 361 home runs during his 13 years in the Major Leagues, and only struck out 369 times. 369 times in 1,736 at-bats! Are you kidding me? In 1936, as a rookie, DiMaggio would have easily won the AL Rookie of the Year (had it been an award at the time) as he finished 8th in AL MVP voting. This fantastic full ticket issued by the Detroit Base Ball Company for May 20th, as the Detroit Tigers hosted the Yankees, comes from the Yankee Clipper's second home run of his career. Still striking in a purple-blue color, this PSA encased Authentic ticket remains in excellent condition with light edge wear and two staple holes at the top. The holder of this clean $1.40 ticket witnessed history on this day when DiMaggio went deep off Schoolboy Rowe, even despite the Yankees falling 4-3 in the end.
