1948 Bowman Near-Set 49/72 Including Mikan - PSA-Authentic
NEAR-SET WITH MIKAN ROOKIE!!! The inaugural Bowman Basketball series is always on advanced collectors' radar. Offered here is a near-set 49/72 of the 1948 Bowman Basketball series. Of the 49 cards, there is only one card PSA-graded, #69 George Mikan Rookie. Recently returned from PSA, it graded Authentic Altered "No Red Ink On Front" variation. The card appears to NM or better, but didn't measure up. The balance of the cards are ungraded in overall EX to NM condition and are primarily sheet cut. Many full sized to slightly oversized cards in this group of 48 different cards as follows: 1, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 20, 24, 26-28, 30-34, 37-52, 54-58, 60-65 & 68. Of the 48 ungraded cards the following are cards with no Red or Blue Background: 38, 44, 46, 48, 52, 57, 58, 61, 63 & 68. An appealing group of '48 Bowman Basketball including the important Mikan Rookie in a PSA Authentic holder.
