1962 Topps Baseball PSA Registry Near-Set - 545/599 - High-Grade with Stars
BROWN-BORDERED NEAR-SET!!! One of the hobby's most sought-after sets is the 1962 Topps Baseball set. With a total of 599 cards in the set, including the #139 card variation, and highlighted by multiple Hall of Famers and stars from the early '60s, the 1962 Topps issue was the largest ever released at 598 cards (plus variations) and featured the highly condition-sensitive wood-grained borders. Regardless of this new design, card collectors and enthusiasts clamored for the '62 Topps release that opened with the newly crowned home run king Roger Maris as card #1.
