c.1952 Original Type 1 New York Yankees World Champs 6-1/2" x 10" Team Photograph - PSA Encapsulated
The 1952 World Series was the fourth of seven meetings between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers, prior to Dem Bums moving to Los Angeles. They have faced each other in the Fall Classic 11 times total. In a battle of power, the Yankees blasted 10 home runs, at least one in each game. Johnny Mize crushed three dingers and Mickey Mantle hit the first two of his record-setting 18 World Series home runs. The slugfest also featured seven home runs from Brooklyn, who ultimately fell to the Yanks in seven games. Offered is a 6-1/2" x 10" circa-1952 New York Yankees team photo. This original photograph of the World Champions remains in exceptional condition with only a touch of paper loss at the upper left corner and a paperclip mark at top center. The face is otherwise devoid of any flaws. On the back, only a paperclip mark and the corner touch are present with a completely clean reverse. An absolute beauty of the Champs after their fourth straight title.
