(LOT 1235)
1964 Cleveland Browns Pair of Team-Signed Posters Including a 1964 Browns Honorary Member Certificate (#339)

From 1959 to 1963, the Cleveland Browns were among the league's elite teams, but failed to get over the hump as the New York Giants, Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles spoiled their success edging them out of multiple Eastern Division titles. But in 1964, the Browns exacted revenge on their foes with a 10-3-1 record, outscoring opponents 415-293 en route to the Eastern Division championship. In true championship form, they then dispatched the heavily favored Baltimore Colts, led by HOFers Johnny Unitas, Lenny Moore and John Mackay, 27-0 to win the NFL Championship, the franchise's first title since 1955.

Offered is a pair of team-signed 1964 Cleveland Browns posters including a signed lithograph and a numbered Honorary Member Certificate (#339) each featuring 42 signatures. Measuring 24" x 34", the colorful Browns James Fiorentino lithograph displays a caricature of each player signed below the image with 14 additional sigs along the top. The "Cleveland's 1964 Professional Football World Championship Team Honorary Member Certificate, numbered #339, was signed June 4, 2005 (20-1/4" x 16"). Each poster features 42 signatures signed in felt tip pen and presents 10 strength including Hall of Famers Jim Brown, Paul Warfield and Gene Hickerson. Both displays remain in NM-MT condition with virtually no wear. This is a desirable pair of wall mountables of one of the greatest teams in NFL history!
